A New Flag is Raised on the San Diego Bay After 95 Years: San Diego Harbor Excursion is Now Flagship Cruises & Events

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- It is a big month for San Diego Harbor Excursion.  The company is celebrating their 95th anniversary and unveiling their new company name − Flagship Cruises & Events.

Since 1915, San Diego Harbor Excursion boats have cruised San Diego's waters creating memorable experiences for residents and tourists alike.  Entering their 95th year in operation, the company decided it was time for a change...a name change that is. 

Flagship Cruises & Events' CEO Arthur Engel explained the change. "The name 'Flagship Cruises & Events' more closely reflects the wide-array of amazing experiences that we offer today.  In addition to our spectacular signature San Diego harbor cruises, we also offer holiday parties, dinner cruises, corporate events, weddings, award-winning brunches, whale watching, ferry services, shopping, restaurants and much more."  The company also operates a variety of ancillary businesses like the Bay Cafe and the Glorietta Gift Shop.

San Diego Harbor Excursion is celebrating their 95th anniversary and unveiling its new branding as Flagship Cruises & Events by offering $9.50 harbor cruises on October 22, 23 and 24, 2010.  The company is also inviting passengers to join the Grand Reopening Cruise celebration on October 22 at 10 a.m.
