Longphone Reaches 350 International Call Termination Wholesale Interconnections
PARIS, February 12 /PRNewswire/ --
- Longphone has Signed its 350th Wholesale Call Termination Interconnection, thus Doubling the Company's Carriers Base since June 2009.
Longphone recently signed its 350th interconnection agreement. This figure represents a growth of 100% in Longphone's commercial activity since the second half of 2009.
The rapidly growing list of carriers opting to interconnect with Longphone is a direct result of the company's intensive investment in infrastructure, technology, marketing and customer care. In the past years the company invested 12 million Euros in VOIP infrastructure and research and development. In addition to that, the focus on direct connectivity to African destinations, has positioned Longphone as a leader in VOIP terminations to this continent, and an obvious choice for wholesalers and retailers who wish to upgrade and stabilize their connectivity to Africa. Today Longphone terminates more than 750,000 minutes per day to various African destinations - with large capacity, robust infrastructure and support, and exclusive agreements with various Africa-specialized providers, this amount is expected to double within the next several months.
Gilles Cohen, Longphone's COO, identified Longphone constructive internal investment, and welcoming, yet conservative approach towards commercial relations as "the engine which allowed Longphone to maintain solid service to existing clients while allowing for a careful and sustainable growth. This financial and infrastructural sustainability put us today in line with industry leaders when it comes to call terminations to Africa".
