70+ Companies Recruiting at 19th Annual Virginia Tech Job Fair

Public Encouraged to Attend

FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Capital Region Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association will hold its 19th annual Job Fair on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Northern Virginia Center (7054 Haycock Road, Falls Church, VA; located across from the West Falls Church Metro station) from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.   

In a sign that companies are still hiring during these tough economic times, this year's fair will offer candidates opportunities from more than 70 companies and government agencies.  Virginia Tech sponsors the fair, but all job seekers are invited to attend.  Companies have openings of all levels in areas such as engineering, information technology, accounting, finance, management, sales/marketing, building construction and government contracting.  A complete listing of all attending companies is located on our website, http://www.ncrjobfair.org. There is no fee to participate, but attending company proceeds help fund scholarships for local high school students to attend Virginia Tech. 

The Virginia Tech Alumni Association's National Capital Region Chapter serves the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax and the counties of Arlington and Fairfax in Virginia, Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland and Washington, D.C.  The chapter is the largest in the alumni association with more than 30,000 members and is managed by volunteers.  Our scholarship program has provided more than $100,000 to local high school students in the last eight years and enabled the chapter to endow a scholarship fund at Virginia Tech.
