2015 Wisconsin Real Estate and Economic Outlook Conference to Take Place September 25th at UW-Madison
Panels, speakers to explore "A Brave New World: Real Estate After the Great Recession"
MADISON, Wis., Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- From the demands of a new regulatory landscape, a constant stream of advances in technology, and the need to recognize new sources of competition in mortgages from inside and outside the industry, there are a wide range of emerging risks and opportunities in the real estate and banking industries.
The 2015 Wisconsin Real Estate and Economic Outlook conference is designed to give professionals in those industries the insights they need to stay ahead of the rapidly changing economic landscape. "A Brave New World: Real Estate After the Great Recession" will be held on Friday, September 25th beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Fluno Center. The event will bring together more than 150 participants —real estate and housing professionals, builders and developers, state and local government officials, non-profit and financial services leaders, and experts in community and economic development.
Richard Green, senior adviser for housing finance to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and director of the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California will be a keynote speaker, along with Rajeev Dhawan, professor and director of the Economic Forecasting Center at Georgia State University. The day-long conference will also feature speakers such as Bob Avery, director of the National Mortgage Database at the Federal Housing Finance Agency; Todd Carpenter, managing director of the National Association of Realtors; David Smith, CEO of the Affordable Housing Institute; and Gerald Timmis, senior managing director and co-founder of ValStone Partners, a Massachusetts-based private equity firm.
